WWW – Baltic Sea Trip

Students and teachers enjoyed their Week Without Walls in Schönberg at the Baltic Sea. Well done students for taking risks and supporting each other and a big thank you to all chaperones for making this trip possible.

“One of the great moments of this trip was being out on the Baltic Sea in a small explorer’s boat. A marine biologist and his crew fished crabs and starfish from the sea ground, showed and explained them to us. We could even take a starfish into our hands. A very hands-on learning experience outside the classroom.”

“My favourite part of the trip to the Baltic Sea was seeing students and staff alike taking on new challenges. Everyone encouraged each other to succeed no matter where they started from, whether it be students overcoming their fear of heights to scale rope and tree courses 3 meters off the ground, trying again and again to get stand up on a windsurf board without falling off, jumping into the freezing cold Baltic Sea, getting back on bicycles with a smile even though they were tired or holding a starfish fresh from the sea. It was great to see new friendships establish and old friendships grow through these experiences. Definitely worth the 10 hour bus journey!”
